Glover Peak
Growing up as a kid on the Jorgensen ranch, the upper place was called the "Glover" place. I would guess that Glover peak was named after someone associated with the ranch?? That's Pine creek canyon leading up to the peak..
Some years ago I researched all the place names of Sublette County that I could find. The single-spaced finished document is 31 pages long! I gave it to anyone who wanted it & was delighted to see it on the counter at the A-frame at Elkhart Park! Anyhoooooo...This is what I found: Glover Peak is named for George Glover, Forest Ranger/Game Warden - Pinedale, 1904.
