Try try again...

There.... Maybe this image will finally post.
Well how about that the picture didn't post. I'll have to work on that. I've been having problems posting from Picasa lately.

Jackson peak

Jackson peak (dead center and a bit left) was where we had to send the high angle search and rescue team a few years back to retrieve the body of a Japanese national lady who fell. She fell in the area where you can see snow in the picture. I had to deal with the family at that time and wow, what a pleasure to visit with people so loyal to themselves and thankful to others for helping them. There was no whining or sniveling with those folks.

Heating up

This area just west of Apache junction Arizona will be experiencing hot hot hot temps in the upcoming months. I'll take the snow and cool mornings over that environment any day. I thought the end of the world was supposed to happen today, dang, now I have to fix supper tonight

Sunrise in the high country

Got this picture from a friend last summer on one of his hikes into the "winds". This is up near Fremont peak somewhere.

Wow, this local flooding is something else huh? They say if it gets really really warm now and all the low country snow comes down at once that there will be some problems.

Ice out (well almost)

Ice is a bit late going out this year. Usually out on Fremont lake by May 10th. A little matter of unusually cold weather has also helped.

Got a run in today and watched some basketball playoffs. Less than two weeks till I go to work for the summer....

70's

Nice here in friendly downtown Salt lake city today. Mid 70's. Back to the "north" country tomorrow. Even Wyoming is warming up. This is a picture of our RV park in Apache junction Arizona on New Years day morning. Yes, it was a bit cool that morning....

Cirque of the towers southeast of Pinedale. Took this a couple of years ago on one of my hikes into Silver lake area. Beautiful country.

Our friends from New Hampshire

Our friends Cal and Connie bought a house in Mesa Arizona. We were in the same RV park for a couple of winters together. They're on their way back to N.H. from Arizona now. They'll pack stuff up and head back to Arizona and move into their new house. Not sure when they'll head back, probably this fall.

Long day yesterday traveling to Salt lake city and back. Got to go back next week also. Looks like we'll be dodging rain drops and maybe some snow!!

Extremes living in a 5th wheel trailer

Just a week ago we were in 80 degree temps. in southern Utah. This morning...16 degrees. In about a month or less there'll be plenty of nasty little biting flies around. Sooooo, I'll enjoy the cold.....for now.

Together through eternity

Awww, don't they make a cute couple. Shown here taking a little break from shoveling coal into the "big furnace"...

Wow, those American special forces "get er done" don't they?
