the 3 bears

The three bears. Unusual rock formation east of Apache junction Arizona. Took this pic on one of the hikes in that area last year. I'm making tenative plans to go down to Apache junction for the month of March. Got lots of friends down there that I want to see. I'll have the house listed and it will show whether I'm here or not.

Fremont peak

An interesting different picture of Fremont peak. Took this from a helicopter or airplane several years ago on a search. Got out of the house today and took a drive to the new airport in St. George, then breakfast at JB's. I haven't eaten that much in ages. Got my afternoon run in today so I guess I'm gaining on it (whatever it is)

Happy Thanksgiving y'all

Took this pic. last year in late December (Apache junction Az.)  Was a very pretty sunrise.

Going to Henry and Linda Schmidt's for T.G. tomorrow.  I'm planning on going to Pinedale For Christmas.  Haven't been in Pinedale for Christmas for about 7 years.  Maybe there will be a Shinook?

Thankful this season for friends and family who give me comfort.

Weaver's needle

I dug this picture up from one of last year's hikes in the superstition mountains near Apache junction Az.  That's weaver's needle just to the left of the Saguaro cactus.

Someday soon

Listing the house in a couple of weeks.  Hope to break even and move back into the 5th wheel.

Really been nice down here, 65 deg yesterday,  Sure hoping I have good roads to travel back to Pinedale for Christmas.  (And no, I'm not taking the 5th wheel up)

One of my favorite photos

This simply is one of my favorite photos.  That area up around Fremont peak and Island lake is truly God's country.

All's going ok here, lots of new changes in my lifestyle.  Hey, I've dropped about 15 pounds in the last couple of months, better than gaining 15.

Arizona sunset

Took this photo from atop my trailer a couple years back in Apache Junction Az.  Lots of pretty sunsets in that country.

Enjoyed dinner and a bit of gambling in Mesquite tonight with Henry/Linda Schmidt and Bob/Tib Sutherland.  Good to hang out with good friends.

New title for blog

Hey, you have to adjust to changes in your life.  I'm still going to post pictures and stuff for friends and family, probably won't update it daily.  I still post stuff to facebook also.

Sunrise Fontinelle Reservoir

I posted this on facebook, the sun was just coming up Monday morning as I was southbound past Fontinelle Reservoir.  A school bus was coming towards me ( you can just see the headlights in the center of the picture.)  As soon as I wade through the maze of paperwork I'm going to get out and get some more photos.

The trip south

Drove through this most of Utah, the roads were only wet and not icy or slushy.  Beautiful sunny day here in Hurricane Utah today.  Got in to St. George area yesterday afternoon about 2:30 p.m.  I always get up early to travel.

Weaver's needle

Not sure if I ever posted this picture of Weaver's needle northeast of Mesa Az. or not.  Nice country.  Getting ready for tomorrow's memorial service for Debi then pack up and head back to Hurricane Ut.  So much stuff to do but at least I'm retired and have plenty of time to do it.

I'll let everyone know when I get back down south and maybe even get some fresh pictures!!

St. George

Wow, I've burned this road up the last month, they sure have good road systems down in southern Utah.

visiting with friends and family, sure helps the healing process. I could do without this snow and cold weather.
