Tami and I passed thru Hurricane in October and were treated to a day at the dinosaur tracks south of Hurricane Utah with Tib and Bob Sutherland.....

Kind of an interesting picture of the daytime full moon yesterday.  iPhones take good pics but the distance stuff doesn't come in very good.  Down to just 4 more shifts for my summer job at the Sheriffs office.  I'm ready for some "down time", except there won't be much down time, buying a house here in the Pinedale area and getting fall work done....

Middle Piney lake.  A big avalanche dumped hundreds of trees into the lake during the winter.  They're having to drag them out of the lake so they don't plug the outlet....what a mess

Took this pic of baby hummingbirds in their teacup size nest.  At my RV park in Apache junction, Az.  I posted it on Facebook a while back... Think it was mid-late March...

Bye bye cheap(er) diesel.

Got 11.5 miles per gallon of diesel towing my trailer yesterday.  Not too bad for as hard as those engines work when pulling a load.  The pic is diesel prices last week in Mesa Az.  $3.82 here in Hurricane Ut....

One more week

Getting ready to spool up and head north. God willing and the creek don't rise I'll be in Hurricane Ut on May 8th. I'll spend a week or 10 days there then push on to Pinedale.

I'm actually getting acclimated to this Az heat. I'm sure I'll have my coat on when I get to Wyoming!!!!!

Jeez, I'm a terrible number picker, can't become a millionaire like that. Just a few days before I head north. Beginning to hit 100 degree days here. The A/C keeps it cool in the trailer though....

Some peaks west of Big Piney Wy. All's well here in Phoenix area, lots of Snowbirds leaving. There will be a few folks that will stay on here till May. Ha, I'll be going from high 90's to below freezing in May.....

Some guy in Bondurant Wyoming raises these critters. He's located on the upper Hoback river road. Mid to late 80's here in Phoenix this week. I'll probably see some 90's before I head out in early May!

I read that Moon dance cafe in Labarge, Wy closed its doors. After all the hassle they went through to haul the diner from New York City. Probably has something with the local oil economy.

Kind of a smokey day for this picture of south Fremont lake last summer. Hit 89 deg. Here in Apache junction, Az today. Record high next few days then cooler next week.

I've been staying in watching the Jodi Arias murder trial on HLN tv. A pretty young lady here in Mesa, Az that shot,stabbed (27 times) and slit her boyfriend's throat in 2008. The trial is winding down this week and will probably go to jury next week. Her defense is self defense.....umm humm, 27 stab wounds, throat slit, shot in the head. I don't think the jury's buying it... She was on the witness stand for 18 days.....I'll be surprised if she walks.... But, I've seen others that have been found not guilty when I thought the opposite!!!!

Superstition Wilderness

Hiked east of Mesa Az with the hiking group. Went about 4 miles. The map shows the trail numbers then the small scales on the bottom of the map shows how many feet elevation each trail goes up (or down). Perfect temperature for a hike
