My new trolling motor wasn't trolling very good so took it in to get it fixed.  Trying to catch an evening without much wind to get her majesty back in the lake.

New ride

Traded the Malibu off for this Chevy Equinox yesterday in Salt Lake City.  It's a 2005 but has a really clean car-fax.  Ran great coming back from Salt Lake City...  Got it at Nate Wade Subaru, I've dealt with them a few times over the years, they're very fair!!

Gulf Shores Alabama Dec. 2005

Well no new pics to post so will post this pic. I took a couple months after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and Mississippi.  This is a damaged home on the beach at Gulf Shores Alabama.  This one doesn't show much damage (door) but the ones down the beach were nearly destroyed by the high winds.

Mountain south of Middle Piney lake

For several years you weren't able to get into Middle piney lake.  A big land slide blocked the road just below the lake.  It's opened up now though.  They tell me it's pretty darned good fishing.  I may go up there and launch the U.S.S. Minnow.

For my out of town friends, Middle Piney lake is about 20 miles north and east of the town of Big Piney Wyo.

Day before yesterday

Took this photo day before yesterday at the entrance of Middle Piney lake.  The snow-drift is still about 4' thick in places. 

Cottonwood lake

A couple years ago at the cabin at Cottonwood lake.  Thought there might be a stash of gold hidden there but no such luck.

Summertime

Summer is half gone, time to start thinking of going south for the winter.  Our traveling companion (shown) leads us to some pretty exotic places.  This year we'll stay in Hurricane Utah in our new home.  May go to Arizona for a month in Jan. or Feb. though????  Back to Wyoming in June 2012.....

Elephant head peak

Not sure if I've ever posted this picture of elephant head (center left) peak.  Took the pic from an airplane a few years back on a search in the area.  That peak is located just south and a bit west of Fremont peak.  Pretty country!!

Idaho falls diesel prices

Wow, been a while since I've seen $3.59diesel.  This was in Idaho falls Wed.  Can you imagine thinking that is cheap diesel.  More hope and change I guess...

We all need a break from mountain pictures, here's an Armadillo I took a pic of about 3 years ago near Rockport Texas.  We're thinking about going back down there in a year or two.  Love that area (except for the humidity)
