Late 1970 in Korea

That's me in the center with my steel pot on. My buddy who visited me the other day is the fellow to the immediate left of me. The Army has chaged a lot from those days. Korea at that time was considered a war zone because the armistice was never signed. We were about 30 miles from the DMZ (demilitarized zone). Some scary stuff going on over there now with the advancement of nuclear weapons.

Went downtown and walked through the street displays for Rendezvous. I'm soooooooooo glad I'm not a cop anymore. They'll have their work cut out for them the next few days.
