Strange cacti

Not sure if I posted this one or not. These Saguaro Cactus are pretty neat looking things. Uneventful day around here, just a few days left before we head out west and northbound.

Poleeece Helicopter and Saguaro lake

Must have been some bad guy on the loose around here Thursday morning, the pooooleeeece Helicopter was circling around our area. Other pics are of Saguaro lake about 25 miles north and east of Apache junction, took a drive looking for desert wild flowers but didn't find very many. The boat is a 2 hour cruise that takes you up some really pretty canyons above Saguaro lake. Won't make that boat trip this year but will next year.

We'll begin going through our "checkoff" list in preperation for travel, kind of embarassing when you're dragging a sewer hose through downtown Phoenix, we'll try to avoid that.

Sacred Rim

Won't be long and I'll be making my annual trek in to Sacred Rim. Try to get up there at least once per year, food for the soul.
Never get tired of looking at that view of Fremont peak from up there.

Only one more week here, boy how the winter flew by. Be back up to St. George Utah area in about 10 days to hook up with Bob and Tib Sutherland again. Bob and Tib wintered in Hurricane Utah, near St. George. Their winter was a bit more harsh than down here. Will be good to see them as well as Henry and Linda Schmidt again. We plan on stopping by Laughlin Nevada at Avi RV park for a couple of days en-route, we'll see Pete and Sally prior to launching northbound.

Woah, big cooldown coming here. No more 80's for a while.
