Sacred Rim

Won't be long and I'll be making my annual trek in to Sacred Rim. Try to get up there at least once per year, food for the soul.
Never get tired of looking at that view of Fremont peak from up there.

Only one more week here, boy how the winter flew by. Be back up to St. George Utah area in about 10 days to hook up with Bob and Tib Sutherland again. Bob and Tib wintered in Hurricane Utah, near St. George. Their winter was a bit more harsh than down here. Will be good to see them as well as Henry and Linda Schmidt again. We plan on stopping by Laughlin Nevada at Avi RV park for a couple of days en-route, we'll see Pete and Sally prior to launching northbound.

Woah, big cooldown coming here. No more 80's for a while.

Spring training, Chicago cubs

Went to a Chicago Cubs vs Oakland A's spring training game today. Was a hoot. Pictured are some of the cubs signing autographs for some of the fans. 83 and cloudy... perfect baseball weather.

Got my truck back and returned the car rental this morning, didn't cost as much as I thought it would.

My troublemaker

the repair guy called this morning and said a fuel line to one of the injectors broke. Will cost about $250. to fix it. As diesel's go, that isn't too bad.

I read in Pinedale online that the Sheriff's office in Pinedale arrested a suspect in the 1984 murder of Lisha Ehlers. I was the first officer from Sublette county to arrive on scene. We put in thousands of man hours of investigation on that case . My hat is off to Bardy Bardin and his investigators for making a criminal case in this matter. I'll say no more as I wouldn't want to say anything to hurt the case.

Should hit 90 here today then cool off later in the week. Spring's a comin...

Mufftar

This is a "mufftar" (like a guitar). The performer, Doug Gabriel played this and many more instruments at his show day before yesterday. The instrument is made out of a muffler (older model T-bird, to be exact). He quipped that after he played a rendition on it that he was "exhausted". Ohhhhhh kkkkkkk... Very good show.. I know this sounds surreal if you're suffering through winter in Wyoming or the north but weather.com has issued a heat warning here in the greater Phoenix area. The may break a warm day temperature tomorrow by possibly hitting 90 degrees. Funny to be running heat in the morning then A/C later in the same day..
off to Walmart to do some shopping shortly...
