White Pine Lodge

 Took this yesterday, nothing unusual about snow in late May.  Be lucky if we don't have snow up there in late June.  Helped VFW with ceremony at the cemetary today.  Good to see old friends again.

Snowy day at Green River lakes

 Sure snowy up towards Green river lakes yesterday.  Very similiar to last year about this time.  Saw a cow elk and a couple of deer.  Great day if you like mud.

Another old cabin

 Another old cabin near Soda lake (Cottonwood creeks west of Big Piney Wy)  Got home late this afternoon.  My flight from Louisville Ky. to Dallas was nearly averted to Nashville because of a medical emergency on board.  The pilot made a sharp turn and was headed down but some Dr.s on board the aircraft tended to the lady and deemed her safe to go on to Dallas.  She had some kind of a heart problem, the EMT's in Dallas quickly whisked her off the plane into an ambulance.  Other than that, uneventful trip home.  Went from 90 degree temps with heat index of 102 to snow......

Saguaro

 Hmm, another picture of a saguaro cactus.  Don't look at the cactus, look at the sky, It has those "mares tails" formations.  Took this out east of Mesa Az. somewhere. 

Off on a trip tomorrow, be back May 24th just in time to go to work the next day.  I'm not taking this computer and don't know how to post on blog with my ipad, I'll have pictures later...

"Sisters"

 My two sisters.  Most everyone knows my sister Rita (the little one) but not so  many knew my older sister Mary Ann. Mary Ann died of cancer in 1976 at age 40.  She was the pretty one in the family (she didn't favor me much...LOL)

Nice day here in Pinedale, cooked mothers day dinner for my mom in law and daughter.  Almost 70 degrees today. 

Wolf lake (again)

 Wolf lake, southeast of Pinedale Wy.  I don't know why I have so darned many pictures of it.  Had lunch with my mom in law yesterday at Rendezvous point.  Nice visit with some of the locals.  Off to do some work on mom in law's house today, got to turn the outside water off, bleeders off etc. 

Home!

 Had a good trip home after a nasty head wind out of St. George to Cedar city Utah.  Traffic was light and the only town of any size is Provo, caught almost all the traffic lights green there.

Good to get home but I'll get the itch to travel south again in about September.

Uhhhm the cold nights are a bit intense when you're not used to them.

Hooking up

 Nearly have the trailer ready for travel.  Looks like the weather will be good tomorrow for travel.  Furnace is working good (it better be, supposed to be 23 degrees tomorrow night in Pinedale...shudder)

So if God is willing and the creek don't rise...I'll be "outta" here about 7:00 tomorrow morning

Upcoming season

 My poor Broncos have had a few dry spells over the past seasons.  I'm hoping they'll do better this year with Manning as QB...Now if I could just convince my family that the Broncos are the right team I'd be ok....Guess ya either love em or you hate em.....

Heading to Pinedale Sunday, weather permitting, I can handle some rain showers towing the trailer but won't tow on ice or snow.....
